When numbering machines are sent to NES
for service and repair the machines are:
- cleaned
ultrasonically
- dismantled
- the parts are further cleaned
ultrasonically.
This process removes any ink, oil, paper, dust, powder and any other
unwanted substance.
Machines are then:
- inspected
- fitted with new parts if necessary
- rebuilt
- checked again
- lubricated through the ultrasonics (this is again a cleaning process
but also an oiling process.
- blown out with compressed air
- checked again.
As we carry a large range of spare parts in stock,
numbering machines sent for repair are normally returned to the owner within
24 hours
Parts:
The most common parts fitted to Rotary numbering machines are:
- Gib locking screws (straight or convex)
- Gibs - straight or convex. The clamp that holds the
numbering machine onto the mounting ring. Normally supplied with
the gib holding screws.
- Operating arms - straight or convex
*** We recommend that these parts are kept in stock by
printers as they are easily replaced and will probably be needed at some
point in time. ***
